JERRY DEPIZZO



Jerry DePizzo was born on January 2, 1979 in Liberty, Ohio. 
He is the saxophonist in the band O.A.R. He plays two type 
of saxophones mainly; one, a Selmer Paris reference 54 
model 77 tenor sax, which is his main sax, and second, a 
Yamaha YTS-53 tenor sax, the backup. DePizzo has a lot of 
musical influences which include: John Coltrane, Maceo Parker, 
Charlie Parker, Cannonball Addeney, Sonny Rollins, Jeff Coffin, 
JC Kuhl from Agents of Good Roots, T.K from Foxtrot Zulu, and 
Matt Adams.

DePizzo met Marc and Chris is freshman year at OSU; they roomed 
together in the same dorm. All the members of O.A.R met Jerry and 
they just started playing together and haven't stopped since. 
O.A.R. asked DePizzo to record their second album "Souls Aflame" 
with them. In September of 2000, DePizzo officially became a band 
member of  O.A.R. He was the last member added.
